The Christchurch Trams combine history and sightseeing. The restored heritage trams can be used with all-day hop-on hop-off ticket. This allows you to visit the central city sights at your pace. The full duration of the circuit is 50 minutes and the trams run every 15.25 minutes. There will be informative live commentaries contributed by the drivers. The tram has 17 stops, most of them near other sightseeing spots, e.g.,:
- the Canterbury Museum & Botanic Gardens
- many retail stores, bars and eateries at The Terrace
- Cashel Street & Riverside Market, Arts Centre and New Regent Street
